Commissioning of the Le Havre Refrigerated Butane Storage Facility

SOFRESID ENGINEERING: a Leader in the Refrigerated Butane Storage Facility

In order to have a large storage capacity of butane (the first in France), and supply various gas bottling sites across France, the construction of a new refrigerated unit was launched in 2010 in Le Havre, Normandy France.

A major milestone in this significant project has been reached in June 2013, when all the main facilities of the 50,000 m3 tank were successfully commissioned.

As an Engineering Construction Manager (ECM) Contractor for this project, SOFRESID ENGINEERING was in charge of Detailed Engineering of Facilities, Supervision of Construction and Commissioning Operations.
